The best board games are enjoyed by children and adults alike and foster a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition. However, in the wrong hands, even a simple game like Yahtzee or chess can turn DEADLY.
Yes, it does sound insane, but the classic board games many of us grew up playing have actually led to more than just some ruined Thanksgivings. What follows is a list of seven board games that have actually resulted in murder. And not the "Clue" type of murder, where it's adorable and committed by someone with a silly color-themed name either. The actual grisly kind of murder, where people end up sad and/or dead.
What board games have driven people to kill? Sadly, you'll find out by taking a look at this list. Remember, it's not worth killing someone over a board game.
6 Times Board Games Led to Murder,
Chess
Though it's typically thought of as an intellectual game for sophisticates, chess has led to a number of murders throughout the years, and not only in the prison yards where it has become popular.
In 2008, Michael A. Steward of Iowa City, Iowa, was allegedly murdered by neighbor David Christian after a chess game went awry. (In fairness, the two men had been drinking heavily, which is basically like playing chess on hard mode.) The men started arguing over the game, a physical altercation followed and, eventually, Steward wound up dead by the end of the incident. Christian called it an accident and later took a plea bargain.
Another murder over chess occurred in 2001 in an Ohio prison. Inmate Christopher Newton killed his cellmate, Jason Brewer, during a game, though some believed Newton was suicidal and committed the crime in the hopes that he would receive the death penalty. (We've heard of Suicide by Cop, but this may be the first Suicide by Bishop on record.) Newton eventually got his wish and was officially checkmated by the State of Ohio in 2007.
Yahtzee
It's Christmas Day, 2010. Minnesota mother-of-three Tamara Lee Mason decides it might be fun to spend the day with her three sons - 17-year-old Jacob, 18-year-old Andrew, and 25-year-old Dylan - playing Yahtzee. The boys disagree. Strongly. Jacob objected so strongly to the request, in fact, that he covered her head with a plastic bag and choked her with a belt. (Maybe he prefers Scattergories?)
Remember, though: Tamara had two other doting sons in the same house. Surely, they came to her aid, right? Unfortunately, no. It seems that, in terms of raising sociopaths, Tamara had rolled 3 of a kind. Dylan and Andrew helped Jacob place her body in a trash can to store until the ground was soft enough to bury her. When her remains were eventually discovered decomposing in the backyard, the jig was up. Jacob now faces two second-degree murder charges. His brothers are charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Beer Pong
In 2013, a game of beer pong lead to attempted murder. 17-year-old Jordan L. Wankasky landed himself in Niagara County Jail after he lost at beer pong to Andrew Huffman, also 17, and then tried to murder him with a seven inch knife.
Wankasky stabbed Huffman four times in the head, just missing multiple fatal blows. Wankasky fled the scene but was tracked down and charged with second degree attempted murder, second degree assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Dice
Gambling debts have been known to lead to murder, particularly if you're going by Martin Scorsese movies. But usually, in order to actually cause someone to get the (literal) axe, they first have to owe a considerable amount of money. It seems that 24-year-old Cadell Robinson was shot and killed in Harlem, New York, in October 2007, after losing a $6 bet in a dice game. Emmett Brown was killed over a matter of $80 way back in 1885, so that's some serious deflation.
Robinson (called "Dell" in the neighborhood) was shooting dice in the courtyard of the St. Nicholas Houses - a public housing project - with 20 year old Terrell Rice (known locally as T-Mac) and a few others. Rice apparently got impatient waiting to collect his big winnings, and instead decided to take matters into his own hands, leaving the game and returning to his home in a nearby building. Rice then returned with a gun and fatally shot Robinson in the head and chest, which is not only a good way to ensure that you'll be spending some quality time Upstate, but also that you never actually get to see your $6. He was eventually charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Something tells me that $6 wasn't even close to Rice's eventual lawyer fees.

Whether we grew up playing them with our siblings or enjoy them today with our kids, this list of board games is sure to bring back some fond, and likely competitive, memories. While a complete list of board games would be difficult to perfect, these board games, young and old, are the best and most popular of the bunch.
Classics like Monopoly, Scrabble and Risk are joined by the newcomers like Apples to Apples and Ghettopoly to provide a vast selection of options for game night. Even some of the oldest games known to exist made the list such as the vintage favorites like Chess, Backgammon, Chinese checkers and Reversi.
What are the best reasons to play board games? Board games provide not only a reason to get together with friends for a fun time, but also a way to test your skills like trivia, with games like Trivial Pursuit, your deduction skills, such as playing Battleship or Clue, or your poise, such as with Operation and Jenga. There's even some for the younger kids with the likes of the classic Candy Land and Hungry, Hungry Hippos making the list. The names of board games old and new can all be found on this list of all board games.
Sadly, the competitive nature of board games has led to some tragedies with more than a few board games leading to murder.
Whatever your age or your skill set, the wide variety of board games available means there's a little something for everyone. As for the best board game of all time, the jury's still out on that one.

The Best Warhammer 40k Space Marine Chapters,
Grey Knights
The Grey Knights are a mysterious Loyalist Chapter of Space Marines specifically tasked with combating the dangerous daemonic entities of the Warp and all those who wield the corrupt power of the Chaos Gods. The Grey Knights act as the military arm or Chamber Militant of the Ordo Malleus, the Daemon Hunters who form the oldest branch of the virtually omnipotent Imperial Inquisition.
Black Templars
The Black Templars are a Loyalist Second Founding Space Marines Chapter derived from the Imperial Fists' gene-seed and their Primarch, Rogal Dorn. Their origin can be traced back to the Imperial Fists’ defence of Terra during the Horus Heresy. Since that time, the Black Templars have been on the longest Crusade the Imperium of Man has ever known to prove their loyalty to the Emperor of Mankind.
Space Wolves
The Space Wolves are one of the original 20 First Founding Space Marine Legions, and were once led by their famed Primarch, Leman Russ. After the Horus Heresy and the resultant Second Founding reforms of the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Wolves Legion was divided into two Chapters: the new Space Wolves Chapter, which was not compliant with the dictates of the Codex Astartes and retained the name of its parent Legion, and the second Chapter which took the name of the Wolf Brothers.
Dark Angels
The Dark Angels are considered among the most powerful and secretive of the Loyalist Space Marine Chapters and were the first of the original 20 Space Marine Legions to be created during the First Founding. Though they claim complete allegiance and service to the Emperor of Mankind, their actions and secret goals at times seem at odds with that professed loyalty, as the Dark Angels strive above all other things to atone for an ancient crime.
Deathwatch
The DeathWatch are a last resort chapter that serve the ordo xeno an inquisition branch that focus on aliens mostlly , they are a last resort they can access fire power stronger then that of the imperial guards with their own acolytes and thorne agents ,they are mostlly formed of other chapters space marines even traitor ones ;they execute missions where they mostly exterminate alien civilizations that threaten mankind .
Blood Angels
The Blood Angels are one of the 20 First Founding Legions of the Space Marines. They are well known for their bloodthirsty nature in battle, and feared for the curse of flawed gene-seed they carry. The Blood Angels are among the longest-lived of the Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes, with some of their Space Marines having served the Emperor of Mankind for over a thousand standard years.
Crimson Fists
The Crimson Fists are a Loyalist Space Marines Chapter. They are a Second Founding Successor Chapter of the Imperial Fists Legion. The Crimson Fists are a Chapter on the edge of extinction, their fortress-monastery destroyed and their numbers all but annhilated when the Ork WAAAGH! Snagrod descended on the Loki Sector and their Chapter homeworld of Rynn's World.
Salamanders
The Salamanders are one of the Loyalist First Founding Chapters of Space Marines. Their homeworld is the volcanic Death World of Nocturne. The Salamanders as a Chapter are unusually concerned with civilian casualties compared to most other Space Marines and believe that one of their most important duties is to protect the lives of the Emperor of Mankind's innocent subjects whenever and wherever possible.
Raven Guard
The Raven Guard is one of the original First Founding Chapters of the Space Marines and was originally the XIX Space Marine Legion before the Second Founding and the adoption of the Codex Astartes. The Primarch of the Raven Guard was Corax, a name which is actually a play on the Latin binomial species name for raven, corvus corax. The Raven Guard are known for their cool-headed, even intellectual temperament, their superb infiltration skills and skill at furious close-quarters engagements.
Imperial Fists
The Imperial Fists are one of the First Founding Chapters of the Space Marines. They stand out from other Space Marine Chapters since they possess no fixed homeworld, although they are most frequently based on Terra. Instead, the Imperial Fists rely on their 10,000-year-old mobile space fortress, Phalanx, to serve as their fortress-monastery. They maintain recruitment-chapels on various worlds spread throughout the Imperium. Part of the Imperial Fists' duties during the Great Crusade were to function as the Emperor's "personal praetorians", accompanying him everywhere.

This list runs through the best Warhammer 40k Chaos Cpace Marines and their chapters. Your votes determine which Chaos Space Marine Chapters
The Best Warhammer 40k Chaos Space Marine Chapters,
Night Lords
The Night Lords do not worship any of the four Chaos Gods individually, but acknowledge them equally in the form of Chaos Undivided as they ruthlessly spread terror and fear amongst the galaxy's inhabitants. The Night Lords are experts in the use of terror tactics to win battles and demoralise their foes before the main combat even begins.
Alpha Legion
The Alpha Legion is the Chaos Space Marine Traitor Legion about whom the least is known. They are experts in infiltration and their armies contain many Chaos Cultists in addition to regular Chaos Space Marines.
Thousand Sons
The main feature that distinguishes the Thousand Sons from the other Traitor Legions is the sheer number of psyker mutations that have always existed amongst the Space Marines in this Legion. Every current member of the Legion possesses psychic abilities and they prefer to use Chaos Sorcerers and guile in combat, relying on their psychic powers and sorcerous knowledge to earn them victory.
Death Guard
The Death Guard are one of the Traitor Legions of Chaos Space Marines. They worship and devote themselves exclusively to the Chaos God Nurgle and as a result of his mutational "gifts" they have become Plague Marines; Astartes who are eternally rotting away within their Power Armour and infected with every known form of disease and decay but who are immune to all pain or minor injury.
Iron Warriors
The Iron Warriors' specialty was the breaking of sieges and assaults on static fortifications, which made them great rivals of the Imperial Fists Legion, which was said to construct the greatest static defences in the Imperium. It was this rivalry between the Legions, and between their Primarchs Perturabo and the Imperial Fists' Rogal Dorn, that helped turn the Iron Warriors to Chaos.
Emperor's Children
The Emperor's Children are a Traitor Legion of Chaos Space Marines who devote themselves solely to the service of the Chaos God Slaanesh, the Prince of Pleasure. Emperor's Children Chaos Space Marines are known for possessing outlandish mutations and surgical alterations as "gifts" from Slaanesh designed to make them more "perfect" in the eyes of their twisted patron.
World Eaters
The World Eaters are the dedicated servants of the Blood God Khorne, the Chaos God of War and Murder, and live for nothing more than to spill blood in his name. The World Eaters' Primarch, Angron, was one of the first of the Space Marine Primarchs to join with the Warmaster Horus when he turned against the Emperor and began the Horus Heresy.

Which greenskin warboss will slay their brethren and win the voting?
This is a list of the best ork clans of the Warhammer 40k universe, with text and images are from the awesome 40k Wiki. Feel free to add ork clans to this list if you feel any are missing. Vote on your favorite clan/warboss.
Which ork tribes are the best? Bad Moons (Bad moon orks are powerful and wealthy). The Blood Axes or the Death Skulls? you tell us when you vote on your favorite 40k ork clans.
Warhammer 40,000 (informally known as Warhammer 40K, WH40K or simply 40K) is a tabletop miniatures wargame produced by Games Workshop, set in a dystopian science-fantasy universe. Warhammer 40,000 was created by Rick Priestley in 1987 as the futuristic companion to Warhammer Fantasy Battle, sharing many game mechanics.
The Best Warhammer 40k Ork Clans,
Goffs
The Goffs are an Ork tribe of clan who are the largest and most agrressive of the known Greenskin clans. The Goffs are the biggest, meanest and most brutish of all their kind, and that's saying something since they are Orks. Of all the Ork clans, the Goffs are the most inspired by the thrill and thunder of battle. Goffs will take any excuse to start a brawl, even amongst themselves.
Snakebites
The Snakebites are a well-known tribe or "Klan" of Orks. The Snakebites are considered to be a backward tribe by many of the more technologically-advanced tribes of Orks, for they still follow the old ways of the Ork race and often remain Feral Orks even after they gain access to more advanced technology. As a result of their rugged lifestyle, the Snakebites are usually weather-beaten and as tough as an old boot.
Death Skulls
The Death Skulls are an Ork tribe or clan dedicated to stealing and plundering. The Death Skulls are truly plunderers without equal. They are tremendously good at looting, borrowing, scrounging, scavenging, and stealing things from their fellow Orks, and notoriously bad at returning them. Death Skulls would make capable scientists and excellent engineers if their fascination for new things lasted longer than the time it took to steal them.
Evil Sunz
The Evil Sunz are an Ork tribe or clan who are dedicated to speed and making as loud a noise as possible when in combat. The Evil Sunz have adopted the general Ork maxim that "Red 'uns go faster" as their clan motto. By far the largest number of Ork Speed Freeks come from the Evil Sunz clan. An Ork's love of speed can easily affect its brain, to the point where an Ork becomes addicted to the thrill of a wild ride into battle.
Bad Moons
The Bad Moons are a powerful and wealthy Ork tribe or clan. The Bad Moons are the richest of all the Ork clans. This is because their teeth grow faster than other Greenskins, meaning that even the lowliest Bad Moon has a steady supply of wealth. This is not regarded as an unfair advantage, as any Ork big and nasty enough can simply smash the teeth out of a Bad Moon's head. The Bad Moons essentially fulfill the role of a merchant caste in what passes for Ork society, and have a reputation for showing off.
Blood Axes
The Blood Axes are an Ork tribe or clan that has actually been known to work alongside the Imperial forces on occasion. The Blood Axes are held by the other Ork clans to be a bunch of untrustworthy gits. They trade openly with the Imperium of Man, parley with the foe and will even consider retreating from battle if faced with insurmountable odds.

Which xeno hive will spore the furthest into the imperium of man and win the voting?

Warhammer 40,000 (informally known as Warhammer 40K, WH40K or simply 40K) is a tabletop miniatures wargame produced by Games Workshop, set in a dystopian science-fantasy universe. Warhammer 40,000 was created by Rick Priestley in 1987 as the futuristic companion to Warhammer Fantasy Battle, sharing many game mechanics.
The Best Warhammer 40k Tyranid Hives,
Hive Fleet Behemoth
Hive Fleet Behemoth was the first major Tyranid Hive Fleet encountered and defeated by the Imperium of Man. The ensuing conflict became known as the First Tyrannic War. The Hive Fleet was eventually destroyed in 745.M41 by the combined might of the Ultramarines, the White Scars, and the Imperial Navy.
Hive Fleet Kraken
Hive Fleet Kraken was the second major Tyranid Hive Fleet to invade the galaxy. It was responsible for the outbreak of the Second Tyrannic War, which began officially in 992.M41 and ended only after the Ultramarines Chapter of Space Marines successfully broke the back of the Tyranid invasion in Imperial space at the Battle of Ichar IV and the Eldar of Craftworld Iyanden successfully defended their home, at great cost, against the Tyranid horde.
Hive Fleet Dagon
Hive Fleet Dagon was the first major Tyranid incursion into the Jericho Reach region of the Ultima Segmentum. The Shadow in the Warp cast by the Tyranid Hive Mind within this volatile region of space first heralded the arrival of this new and terrible Hive Fleet in 812.M41. Communication between parts of the Achilus Crusade and the re-conquered regions of the Jericho Reach was lost without warning. Particularly affected was the Orpheus Salient of the Crusade that was lost to communication and access with the rest of the Reach behind the Hive Fleet's crawling shadow of Warp interference.
Hive Fleet Gorgon
Hive Fleet Gorgon was a Tyranid Hive Fleet which invaded the Tau Empire in 899.M41. The Gorgon was a splinter fleet of Hive Fleet Behemoth that had been founded by those Tyranids who had survived the Behemoth's destruction during the Battle of Macragge and which began consuming poorly defended Imperial worlds to replenish its small numbers. By the time this splinter fleet made its way into Tau space in the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy, it had grown to become a full Hive Fleet in its own right.
Hive Fleet Leviathan
Hive Fleet Leviathan was the third and largest Tyranid incursion into the Milky Way Galaxy in 997.M41 and marked the start of the ongoing Third Tyrannic War for the Imperium of Mankind. Less than five years after the defeat of the Hive Fleet Kraken in the Second Tyrannic War, Lord Inquisitor Kryptman noted the tell-tale signs of yet another Tyranid invasion in 997.M41. He implemented the Kryptman census, burning out dozens of astropaths in the attempt to contact scores of worlds on every fringe of the Imperium. Slowly, the responses - and lack of them - formed a pattern, and the venerable Inquisitor was able to chart the course of the Tyranids' latest Hive Fleet to arrive in the Milky Way Galaxy.

The Space Marines or Adeptus Astartes are foremost amongst the defenders of humanity, the greatest of the Emperor of Mankind's warriors. They are barely human at all, but superhuman; having been made superior in all respects to a normal man by a harsh regime of genetic modification, psycho-conditioning and rigorous training. Space Marines are untouched by plague or any natural disease and can suffer wounds that would kill a lesser being several times over, and live to fight again. Clad in ancient Power Armour and wielding the most potent weapons known to Man, the Space Marines are terrifying foes and their devotion to the Emperor and the Imperium of Man is unyielding. They are the God-Emperor's Angels of Death, and they know no fear.
Eldar
The Eldar are a race of fey-like humanoids similar in appearance and culture to the sylvan elves of ancient Terran mythology and literature, and they are the most ancient and technologically advanced of all the intelligent races of the Milky Way Galaxy, with the exception of the Old Ones, and their ancient enemies the Necrons. Their armies usually have the advantages of great mobility, potent psychic abilities and technology that is more advanced than that deployed by the human Imperium. In the sense that Warhammer 40,000 races are generally derived from the earlier Warhammer Fantasy universe, the Eldar are derived from the High Elves of the Warhammer World, except for the Eldar faction known as the Exodites who are the equivalent of the Wood Elves.
Chaos Space Marines
A Chaos Space Marine, also sometimes called a Traitor Marine or a Renegade Marine, is a former Loyalist Space Marine of the Imperium of Man who has chosen to betray the service of the Emperor of Mankind and dedicate his soul to the service of Chaos and its foul deities. Such corrupt Astartes normally belong to one of the 9 Traitor Legions that betrayed the Emperor during the ancient civil war called the Horus Heresy more than 10,000 standard years ago, while others come from Space Marine Chapters created long after the Heresy ended that have turned Renegade. Chaos can corrupt Astartes of any time and place just as its siren call leads many lesser men to their damnation.
Imperial Guard
The Imperial Guard is the largest military force of the Imperium of Man and also serves as the Imperium's first line of defence from the myriad threats which threaten the existence of the human race in the late 41st Millennium. It is comprised of countless billions of men and women -- hundreds of thousands of different regiments, supported by a vast array of light and heavy armoured vehicles that provide the Guard's primary offensive punch. They are usually the first Imperial force to respond to a threat if a planet's Planetary Defence Force (PDF) fails to suppress it. They also garrison major locations of strategic or cultural interest to the Imperium and are often found in defensive roles. The Imperial Guard is often referred to as the "Sledgehammer of the Emperor";
Kroot
The Kroot are a species of savage humanoids who are a member species of the Tau Empire who evolved from avian creatures. Kroot are tall aliens (a good half-meter taller than most humans), their avian ancestry giving them a bird-like beak and long quills protruding from their heads like hair. Smaller quills, possibly the evolutionary remnants of feathers, can be found scattered over their bodies.
Tyranids
The Tyranids are a species of terrible xenos that is actually a space-faring ecosystem dedicated solely to its own propagation and evolutionary advancement. The Tyranids collectively form a monstrous superorganism that travels the universe in their great Hive Fleets of biomechanical Hive Ships, systematically consuming all other biomatter to enable its own rapid evolution and reproduction. All Tyranid organisms are Synaptic (psychically-reactive), and each Tyranid creature within a Hive Fleet shares in a communal Hive Mind, granting the ability for trillions of beings to communicate and organize instantaneously on a staggering scale.
Tau
The Tau are a young, humanoid and highly technologically-advanced intelligent race native to the Eastern Fringes of the Milky Way Galaxy who are fighting to expand their interstellar empire and a philosophical concept they call the Greater Good. The Tau claim to be a peaceful race when possible, asking if others will join their cause voluntarily instead of fighting. However, if their peaceful overtures are refused, the Tau may well decide to conquer a planet and add it to their growing interstellar empire for the greater good, searing the flesh from the bones of anyone who stands against their benign expansions. Tau society is divided into a number of castes, each responsible for managing a specific aspect of their society. The Tau's central motivating ideal is that everyone in their empire regardless of their species will work for the collective betterment of everyone else, an almost mystical philosophy they call the Greater Good.
Chaos Daemons
A Daemon, also known as a Neverborn amongst the Forces of Chaos, is an intelligent and usually malevolent entity of the Warp that is a living embodiment of Chaos. Daemons are collectively the greatest servants of the Chaos Gods and of Chaos itself as a universal force. They are created at the whim of one of the four major Chaos Gods from a fraction of the god's own power within the Immaterium and act as an extension of his will. A daemon's appearance and intrinsic character reflect the god's own nature. These daemons may be reabsorbed into the god's own psychic signature in the Warp at his whim.
Orks
The Orks, also called Greenskins, are a savage, warlike, green-skinned race of humanoids who are spread all across the Milky Way Galaxy. They share many features with Warhammer Fantasy Orcs (and were initially called Space Orcs to distinguish them). They are seen by their enemies (pretty much everyone else in the galaxy) as savage, warlike, and crude, but they are the most successful species in the whole galaxy, outnumbering possibly every other intelligent race, even Mankind (with the very plausible exception of the Tyranids, who are split between thousands of subspecies genetically engineered for specific purposes). However, this massive population of Orks is split into hundreds of tiny empires, often warring between themselves. It has been speculated that were the Orks ever to unite as a single racial entity, they would undoubtedly crush any opposition that would dare to stand against such a tsunami of green muscle. Luckily, the Orks enjoy killing each other every bit as much as they savour shedding the blood of the galaxy's other peoples.
Necrons
The Necrons are a mysterious race of robotic skeletal warriors that have lain dormant in their stasis-tombs for more than 60 million Terran years and who are the soulless creations and former servants of the ancient C'tan, the terrible Star Gods of Eldar myth. The Necrons are ancient beyond reckoning, predating even the birth of the Eldar. At long last, however, they are beginning to awaken from their Tomb Worlds, for the galaxy is ripe for the greatest harvest of sentient beings to feed the eternal hunger of the C'tan since the disappearance of the Old Ones 65 million standard years ago. The Necrons are a completely cybernetic humanoid species whose technological prowess is probably unmatched by any of the other intelligent races of the galaxy. Yet out of a desire for vengeance against the more fortunate long-lived ancient xenos race called the Old Ones, and the trickery of the godlike intelligences known as the C'tan, the Necrons shed their organic forms and lost all forms of compassion and empathy, becoming ruthless, undying killing machines who feed their endless appetite for the life energy of organic beings and whose different dynasties are determined to exert their mastery over the galaxy once more.
